New group
Our aim is to work out our proof of concept to a prototype.
In the past 10 weeks there were 2 electronics students working on the research into the underwater wireless comunication. In the past we have used 433 Mhz Radio frequency to communicate. And now we are going to use Ultrasonic transcievers at 30 Khz to comunicate. During the testing the students have measured a range of 14 Meters under water. This looks promising. The only problem is that these students did not have the time to work this out to a working module. So it comes to me (as an ICT student) to buy or create the communication modules.
Once this objective is reached we will go to eindhoven to present our product to the KNZB en we will descuss how we are going to present our data to the swimming coaches.
So we have a large tasklist for the next 20 weeks.

Time for an update
This is my last week at CENSI and it’s about time I updated this blog.
After almost a month of looking for swimming coaches and swimmers i came in contact with people from the "swimming temple" in Eindhoven.
After some phone calls we decided to meet, somewhere at the end of December or in the beginning of January. I decided to ask Dhr. Appel and Dennis to come with me.
However due to the busy agenda from Dhr. Appel and Dennis the appointment was set back to the end of January. This was a big set back for me, since i wanted to get more information on how they analyze data ect.
To make matters even worse the appointment got canceled and it needed to be rescheduled. However since this is my last week at CENSI i couldn't reschedule it in time, so I’m afraid I can't use the information I hoped to get in Eindhoven for my rapport.
Together with Dhr. Appel we decided to postpone the appointment so we can show them a decent working prototype. Since the wireless communication isn't reliable at this point, my two electronic students are working hard on this matter. They are researching ultrasonic communication at the moment. Hopefully they get it working properly so Dennis can get a good start. Dennis will be back on the Zwemsor project next week.
On the 23 of january there was an open day event organised for the relations of HIT. Together with Marcel, Nikita and Johan (from other CENSI projects) we were representing CENSI. We had a lot of fun and interesting conversation with the people and even got some nice ideas from them.
